The service

Folio lets you build a resume/CV and/or a recommendation letter using customizable templates, and download the finished document as a PDF. No account is required. Building and previewing documents is free; a one-time payment unlocks PDF downloads for both a resume/CV and a recommendation letter in the same browser session.

Payment

• The current price is $4.99 USD, charged once via Stripe.
• Payment unlocks PDF downloads for both document types (resume/CV and recommendation letter), regardless of which one you build first.
• Because Folio delivers a digital product immediately upon payment, all sales are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. If something goes wrong with your download, contact us — we're happy to help make it right.

Your content

• You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into your resume, CV, or recommendation letter.
• You retain all rights to the content you create. We claim no ownership over it.
• You may not use Folio to create documents that are unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or that impersonate another person without authorization.

No account, your responsibility

Since Folio doesn't use accounts, your draft content is stored only in your own browser. If you clear your browser data, switch devices, or use a different browser, your draft will not carry over. We recommend downloading your PDF promptly once you're satisfied with it.

Intellectual property

The Folio name, templates, design, and underlying software are owned by Sapient7. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the Service itself.

Disclaimer of warranties

Folio is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any resume/letter created with it will result in employment or any other outcome.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sapient7 will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us ($4.99).

Changes to the service or these terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. Continued use of Folio after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
